Have you started planning for Mother’s Day yet? I know it’s still a couple of weeks away but there’s no time like the present to start thinking about treating mum on the 31st March.
This year was a big year for my mum as she turned 60 and we organised several special events to celebrate including a family meal out, a trip to Lisbon and an exciting Murder Mystery day on the Belmond British Pullman train.
However, we never fail to treat mum to something nice for Mothering Sunday as a small token to show how much we love and have appreciated everything she has done and continues to do for my sister and me.
We are lucky in that mum loves flowers, the more the merrier and we tend to get her some fabulous flowers to celebrate Mothers Day so, I was excited when Prestige Flowers asked me to review one of their lovely gift bouquets!
Sending Mother’s day gifts has become a tradition celebrated across the globe and flowers have become the perfect gesture to signify this day. They are the most popular gift to send, often pink roses are sent although tulips are equally as popular.
I was sent a stunning arrangement in glorious sherbet hues including a generous amount of lilac roses, extraordinary hot pink calla lilies and dusky carnations. These were joined by a selection of smaller, more delicate flowers as well as foliage to give the bouquet some substance.
It’s safe to say that mum was blown away by this gorgeous selection of pastel flowers, remarking several times on how beautiful the blooms were in their various shades of pinks and purples.
I hope that the stunning bouquet will act as a daily reminder of how special mum is to us (even if it is a few weeks early!) How are you treating your mum this Mother’s Day?
