Lush banana skin facial oil

I am sure you have heard the awareness around single use plastics. I am definitely trying to cut down on plastics in my house so I was super excited to hear that Lush had launched a ‘Naked’ range with no packaging.

From shampoo bars, solid conditioners, soaps, scrubs, massage bars and bath oils, nude is not new to Lush and 35% of their products are packaging-free.

When I recently had an allergic reaction to some detergent which meant some skin on my face got sore I decided to look for some new skincare which focused on natural ingredients and less packaging and so treated myself to some of the Lush naked range.

Banana Skin Facial Oil

Despite not being able to eat bananas as I am intollerant to them, I have really been loving using the Banana Skin facial oil instead of a regular moisturiser.

This solid facial oil bar is made up of creamy fresh banana and hydrating mango butter with a touch of tapioca flour for a silky smooth feel. Amazingly it even uses the banana skin meaning this is a no waste product!

It is easy to use, simply warm it up in your hands for a few moments and then sweep across the face leaving a warm trail of thirst quenching, rich oil with a sweet banana scent mixed with custardy vanilla of tonka, creamy murumuru and organic illipe butter. My only issue with the facial oil was that I used it up quite quickly! Learn more here: Banana Skin Facial Oil

Gritty Politti Naked Cleansing Balm

Cleansing is really important and I often struggle to find one that I like so I had trouble picking out just one cleanser; so I picked out two! One for the evening and one of the morning.

I love a good exfoliator and the Gritty Politti cleansing balm combines a hydrating blend of ground coconut shells, coconut oil, and kokum butter making it the perfect morning get up and go cleanser. The ground coconut shells provide a gentle exfoliation and the natural fragrance incorporates the antibacterial benefits of rosewood oil and soothing sandalwood.

The bar melts in the hands and forms a soft and creamy emollient cleaning oil that massages into the skin and is easily wiped away with a damp face cloth. Learn more here:Gritty Politi naked cleansing balm.

Sleepy Face Naked Cleansing Balm

The Sleepy Face cleansing balm is perfect for the evening with a dreamy bar made of Fair Trade organic cocoa butter, rich and soothing oat milk, balancing jojoba oil and moisturising and conditionin almond oil with fragrant, balancing and calming French lavender designed to calm skin and soothe the mind.

Simply warm in your hands and apply straight to the skin, massage, and wipe clean with damp cotton wool or a face cloth. I find this is the perfect relaxing scented balm to use before bed. Learn more here Sleepy Face cleansing balm.

I have really loved using the Lush naked cleansers and facial oil. They all have lovely ingredients which smell amazing! The cleansers leave my skin feeling soft and clean and the oil traps in moisture. I award them 5 out of 5 stars.
