Prepare Your Garden for Summer

If you are wanting to enjoy the Summer sun in your garden, you may need to do some work to your garden first. Here you can find out more about ways to prepare your garden for Summer and truly make the most of the weather.

Feed The Lawn

It’s easy to let your lawn get patchy in places or out of control, you can easily rectify that by committing to a regular feeding and watering programme. It is better to water your lawn first thing on a morning and last thing in the evening.

If you notice any moss patches in your lawn, be sure to spray the patches with a moss killer, and remove any dead weeds. Removing dead weeds and planting new grass seed will help your lawn grow evenly. Learn more about caring for your lawn here.

Edge The Lawn

The simple edging of a lawn can make the lawn look tidy rather than tatty, and let’s face it, a tatty lawn never looks great. Edging a lawn is simple, you can use pebbles or flowerbeds for an easy and hassle -free way to tidy your lawn up.

Design a Flowerbed

If you have a bit of lawn spare, and want to add a splash of colour into the green, you can design and create a flower bed. Adding a flowerbed has never been easier, and you don’t have to get a professional to do it for you. Simply use a spade to cut away the section of lawn that you want to remove, make sure you remove the turf in manageable chunks. Dig over the ground or add some top soil to this section and plant some seeds. Water regularly and watch them bloom into a colour patch.

Install A Patio

A high quality patio is easy to maintain, and should be built to uphold outdoor life. Luxury patios and new driveways look amazing at any property, whether you have a new build or a period property, you can really make a statement.

You don’t even have to worry about block paving or large paving slabs either, these days there’s a whole host of options to consider. You have different sized slabs installed, with different colours and different style options. With the variety of options available you’ve got the freedom to discover a style that meets your requirements and that you’ll simply love.
