Lush Aromaco Solid Deodorant

Recently I have been trying to cut down on plastics in my house and I have started by taking a look at my cosmetics and body products including cleansers, moisturisers and deodorants.

Having discovered that I really liked the solid cleansers and facial oils from Lush I decided I wanted to replace my regular spray deodorants for one of their more natural, plastic-free options.

After a chat with one of the ladies in the Lush shop I decided to try out the Aromaco solid deodorant which she explained would be better suited to my skin type; dry and sensitive, rather than the other option which was more like a solid bar of talc which might irritate my already dry skin.

The Lush Aromaco solid deodorant bar uses gentle, natural ingredients including absorbent sodium bicarbonate, witch hazel that helps you to stay dry alongside chamomile vinegar with it’s antibacterial and cooling properties and fragrant patchouli oil which has a relaxing, earthy fragrance which I find comforting.

Using the Aromaco bar is super easy, in fact it’s just like using a roll-on deodorant just without the plastic packaging. Just rub the bar under clean, dry armpits and you’re good to go.

I really like the creamy consistency of the Aromaco solid deodorant bar which makes it easy to apply. My favourite thing about the bar, however, is the fragrance, I simply love the earthy patchouli scent which I can enjoy all day.

I have found the bar to be an effective deodorant, a pleasant experience and guilt-free as it is both plastic-free and vegan. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative and award it 5 out of 5 stars.

I would love to try this, it sounds like a great way to start cutting back on single plastic use.

that’s brilliant you’re cutting out plastics 🙂 haven’t used Lush ones personally as the fragrance irritates my skin and allergies but love the plastic free ones I’ve found – and love that more and more are becoming accessible! x
