Summer ready with Fashion World

Oasis Fitzwilliam Dupont Bardot Dress

So the weather has taken a turn for the better and the invitations to alfresco afternoon tea and barbeques have started rolling in but as I recently realised since I started losing weight (so far I am down 40lbs) I had not restocked with lovely summer-ready clothes so I was excited when Fashion World offered me the chance to review a few pieces from their range.

Fashion World is part of J D Williams & Company Limited founded in 1874 which is the UK’s leading direct home shopping company. Fashion World has an amazing array of clothing on their website and focuses on offering the best fit and the best value, specialising in plus-sized clothing for women.

I enjoyed browsing through the extensive array of plus-sized clothing to find what I wanted and chose two dresses and a cardigan which would help me get through some upcoming summer events. You might have noticed that I never post photos of myself on my blog due to low self-esteem but since starting to lose weight I want to start getting in front of the camera more with the help of lovely plus-sized fashion like the following.

Oasis Fitzwilliam Dupont Bardot Dress

I was simply blown away by the amazing pattern on this Bardot style dress from Oasis’s collaboration with Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum. The fabric’s exclusive vibrant blue print includes beautiful botanical images alongside birds, blooms and butterflies from the antique pages of reference books brought to life. I really love the off the shoulder trend and the Bardot dress has a lovely retro style which is really attractive. The fabric is soft and has a good amount of stretch in it which makes it comfortable to wear. I think this is the perfect bright and breezy dress to wear to an outdoor summer party.

Navy Spot Printed V-Neck Swing Dress

When I picked out the navy spot v-neck swing dress I was really looking for something which would keep me warm on a typical British ‘summer’ day! A swing dress is a wardrobe must have as it is so easy to wear, offering ultimate comfort due to its flattering shape which softens any bumps and the v-neck highlights my best assets. I love the ruched sleeve detail and the eye-catching circle spot print which for someone like me who doesn’t like to attract too much attention in a crowd is perfect for adding interest without being too in your face.
I always like to be prepared for a cooler summer evening so I picked out the kimono belted cardigan as a great practical yet stylish piece which will keep me warm when the temperatures drop. I really love the wrap style which is very flattering as it draws in the waist and creates an hourglass shape. I find that most kimonos don’t come with a belt which annoys me so I was super happy when I discovered this one that does come with a belt so you can choose to let it hang free or cinch in your shape. The cardigan is made from a soft linen-mix fabric and is perfect for layering up this summer.

I have really enjoyed wearing my three garments from Fashion World and would certainly recommend them to any curvy ladies out there looking for stylish clothes which fit and flatter.
