New Years Celebration

Are you making any New Years Resolutions? I tend to make very similar ones every year but this year I am throwing in a couple of new ones for good measure!

Donate to the local Food Bank

Traditionally the time around Christmas has always been a time for giving to those less fortunate. For 2019 I have decided that I am going to try and support our local food bank, Swanley and District, with regular donations.

I plan to add items from the food bank’s wish list onto my online shopping order every week and drop them off at a collection point. I hope that this small contribution will help those in need in my local area and I hope this inspires you to do something charitable in the year to come.

Continue to lose weight

In October of 2017 I decided to actually do something about being overweight and thanks to the strict regime of Bright Line Eating and turning vegan in January 2018 as part of Veganuary, I have lost 22kg (50lbs) so far.

I still have a long way to go until I reach my goal weight and I am determined that I will lose at least another 20kg by the end of 2019, preferably more!

See my friends more regularly

Despite technology bringing people closer together despite physical distances there is still something to be said about meeting up for a chat over a coffee or the occasional spa day!

Since moving out to Kent from London it’s become harder to see friends regularly so I have decided I will set up a monthly slot for organising an activity or day out with friends to make sure we stay more up to date with each other’s lives.

Start my Etsy Shop

I have been a crafty person for many. many years and in the last year or so I have been considering setting up an Etsy shop in order to make and sell pieces. After deliberating for a long time about what to call my Etsy Shop I took the plunge and decided upon a brand/shop name and now all I have to do is stock it!

Crochet is my main craft and I love making hats, scarves, blankets etc. I also recently treated myself to a Cricut Maker and I’d love to also make and sell paper and fabric items once I have gotten to grips with my new toy! I hope you’ll have a browse once it is up and running.

Put more effort into my blog!

I love my blog. I started it in 2012 and I have learned so much through running it and being a member of the blogging community. However. I have to admit that I often feel like I should do more to grow my blog and brand.

So, in 2019 I really want to increase the time and effort I put into creating content, expanding my social media and keeping on top of things!
